Case study · Industry · BarcelonaBoix PLV:a catalogue you can ask questions.
Over fifty years making point-of-sale displays. Today their catalogue speaks four languages and answers whoever asks.
What it is
Point-of-sale display manufacturer. Design, engineering and production in house.

The problem
Half a century of work, and the range in PDF brochures.
A display buyer describes what they need and expects an answer on the spot, on Google or from an assistant. With the range in brochures, there is no page per product for that answer to show.
Top-tier clients, on a single page.
Colgate, Heineken, Johnson & Johnson. Over fifty years of work told on a one-page website, the home page.
Each family, a PDF brochure.
The whole range split into brochures to download, one per family. No page per product for a search engine to show or an assistant to link to.
Over 25 countries, each with its language.
Buyers in each market search in their own language, and what they find has to be written in it, page by page.
Their site, on desktop and on a phone
What a buyer sees.
Their site as it is, on a computer and on a phone: the homepage, the AI-assisted search, the fifteen display solutions, real work for Pepsi, Lay’s and Nutella, the company in numbers and the contact form.
What we built
A catalogue you can ask questions.
Search
Describe the need, get the model.
Type “a sturdy display for 50 wine bottles” and it returns the display in their catalogue that solves it. Like asking ChatGPT, answered with what they actually make.
Catalogue
Fifteen solutions, one page each.
Each solution has its own page, with its spec sheet and drawings, and every real project links to the solution behind it. No more PDF to request.
Languages
Four languages, four domains.
Spanish, Catalan, English and French, each on its own domain: .es, .cat, .com and .fr. All of it written so Google, ChatGPT or Perplexity understand what Boix makes.
The company

Company figures, as published on their site
“Excelente experiencia. Nos han gestionado la migración de dominios y el diseño de nuestra nueva web de forma ágil y profesional. Una web moderna, funcional y con integración de IA. Muy recomendables.”
There are no metrics for the new site yet: it has only been live for a few weeks. Once there are weeks of Search Console data, they go here with the period next to them.

Your company
Is your cataloguestill a PDF?
That is where Boix was: over fifty years of work and the range split into PDF brochures. What gets fixed is not the styling: it is that every product has its own page, where Google or an assistant can find it.
